
FROM THE NORTH AND EAST: Take the A66 out of Penrith, the A592 to Glenridding. This brings you along the shores of Lake Ullswater to Patterdale. Hartsop is about 2 miles further on.
FROM THE WEST: Take the A66 out of Keswick, then the A5091 to Ullswater, Patterdale and Hartsop.
FROM THE SOUTH:
Scenic route: Leave the M6 at junction 36 and take the A591 to Windermere, then the A592 across the Kirkstone Pass. Having descended, take the first turn right, then immediately left at the Patterdale Footpath sign.
Faster route: Continue on the M6 to junction 40 and then follow the directions as from the North and East.
